Preventative

Dental exams are a crucial part of preventative oral health care. The exam allows us to evaluate your current dental hygiene and check for complications such as cavities and gum disease. Twice a year dental cleanings are recommended to thoroughly clean your teeth and gums, improving your overall oral health.

Scaling + Root Planing

Tartar is formed when plaque is left on your teeth and the resulting bacteria can potentially lead to gum disease. To avoid the pain and tooth loss associated with gum disease, it is necessary to see your dentist for scaling and root planing treatments. This first step is imperative to prevent gingivitis and periodontitis, and must be performed by a professional.

Dental Implants

High-quality materials, state-of-the-art equipment, and knowledge of the most advanced techniques is essential to providing dental care that will protect your teeth and restorations. If you’re missing teeth or struggling with ill-fitting dentures, you’re familiar with the many pain points and may want to consider dental implants. This solution allows you to have teeth that are permanent and as stable as your natural ones, giving you the security to eat and speak with confidence.

Cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry

We all realize that having a healthy, bright smile enhances our appearance and allows us to smile with confidence. This is precisely why there have been dramatic advances in cosmetic dentistry over the past few decades.

Crowns + Bridges

A dental crown or bridge can be used to change a tooth’s shape, strength, size, or appearance. To change the look of your tooth, Dr. Marcus will “crown” the affected tooth by fitting a snug cap over the entire visible portion, making your smile look as good as new.

CEREC

CEREC ceramic reconstruction can correct decay or imperfections in a single office visit. CEREC restorations ensure a natural fit and look, providing you with a long lasting result. This procedure takes a shorter amount of time than other restorative dental treatments, allowing you to enjoy a same-day smile.

Gum Disease

Often taken for granted, the monotonous task of brushing and flossing our teeth daily has never been more important in order to avoid gum disease and the risks gum disease place on our overall health. Some studies suggest that 75% of Americans have one of the three stages of gum disease, which have been linked to other health concerns such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Gum disease is the leading cause of adults losing their teeth. The best way to avoid any of the 3 stages of gum disease is to practice regular at-home hygiene and visit your dentist twice a year or as recommended.

VELscope

During your examination, Dr. Marcus will use the VELscope device to detect any abnormalities in your oral tissues. This allow us to check for potentially harmful diseases such as cancer. VELscope uses a safe blue light to illuminate your mouth; Dr. Marcus then uses a special lense to detect cellular changes that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Oral cancers are easily treated if caught early, which is why regular dental exams are so important.
