Marcus Dental Practice has been serving Chicago from its downtown office since 1968. The practice was initially established by Dr. David Marcus, with his son, Dr. Michael Marcus, joining him in 1987. Dr. Michael Marcus remains dedicated to providing their trademark high-quality service. He has also fully updated the office to include many of the latest technologies that make dental treatment more accurate, comfortable and efficient.

Dr. Marcus uses a variety of treatments to give patients a stunning smile. Beautiful porcelain veneers crafted to have a natural translucence and depth of color can give your smile a makeover in just a few visits. Clear aligner therapy can straighten your smile in 6 to 18 months and professional-grade teeth whitening can give you fast and lasting results. We also use a gentle laser for gum recontouring, to treat a gummy smile treatment or an uneven gum line.
We provide teeth straightening with the latest in removable clear aligners, shortening overall treatment times and the amount per day you need to wear the aligners. Dr. Marcus has completed hundreds of cases using aligners to fix issues with teeth alignment and bite.
Using the CEREC computer-aided design and manufacturing system, Dr. Marcus can provide strong, aesthetic crowns in just one visit. No temporaries needed. He also provides three-quarter crowns, onlays and inlays—tooth restorations that require less cutting down of the natural tooth, but provide stronger support than fillings.
Jaw joint (TMJ) pain and headaches can come about due to a poor bite—the teeth not coming together correctly. Dr. Marcus uses sophisticated technology to identify and treat issues with the TMJ and bite. Using airway orthodontics, he can also treat problems with your airway that can cause exhaustion, sleep apnea and TMJ issues. Airway orthodontics involves expanding the jaw or correcting jaw misalignments.
Patients who are anxious about dental treatment or who want to feel fully relaxed during more extensive treatment, can opt for oral conscious sedation, at no extra cost.

Dr. Michael Marcus is highly trained in complex cases, dental implants and cosmetic work. We are known for making patients feel seen and cared for.
Although Dr. Marcus graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1987, his education is ongoing, as he stays current on the latest advances in dental medicine. When he’s not in the office caring for patients, he attends seminars and workshops on the latest technology, techniques and dental equipment. He understands that the more he learns, the more he can help his patients.
His focus is on your dental health and well-being, which means he ensures everything is working correctly and that you feel comfortable.
